Abstract

Patient saffety is an important aspect of healthcare, including the frequent administration of installation infusions in hospitals. Installation infusion carries risks such as infection, phlebitis, and procedural errors, necessitating good patient safety management.
This study aims to determine the description of patient saffety management in installation infusions. The study design uses a
descriptive method with 30 respondents who are nurses working in the inpatient ward.The instruments used were observation
questionnaires related to the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), patient identification, infection prevention, 
effective communication, and documentation. The results showed that most respondents had implemented patient saffety management well, particularly in terms of patient identification and SOP implementation, although there were still some respondents who were not consistent in terms of documentation and infection prevention.The conclusion of this study is that patient saffety management in infusion procedures is generally good, but still needs improvement, particularly in terms of documentation compliance and infection prevention. It is hoped that hospitals can improve supervision, training, and monitoring to strengthen the culture of patient safety.
