Abstract

 

This research aim to determine of the fatty acid’s and omega-3 degrees at rosella flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa variety sabdariffa Linn.) is coming from Kabupaten Gowa by using gas chromatography method. The rosella flowers bulbs extracted with sokhlet method apply hexane solvent. Determination of fatty acid characteristics on rosella flowers bulbs to determine water content, fat rate, lathering number, iodine number, and acid number. Then proceed with the analysis of the fatty acid’s inclusive of fatty acid omega-3 by gas chromatography method. Result obtained in sample there is 19 species fatty acid’s and contain 0,512 gramme omega-3 per gramme extract or 71,8 milli gramme omega-3 per gramme bulbs.
