Abstract

Old age is the final stage in human life which has entered old age where it has passed the previous stages of development. An elderly person is someone who is in a phase that experiences changes in their biological system based on structure and function so that it affects their level of health. Elderly independence in ADL is a person's independence in carrying out daily life activities and functions carried out by humans both routinely and universally. A fall is an event that results in a person suddenly lying or sitting on the floor or a lower place or without loss of consciousness or injury. This research was conducted to determine the level of independence in daily living activities and the risk of falls in the elderly at the Tresna Nursing Home Gau Mabaji, Gowa Regency. . This research was carried out on April 14-May 14 2023. The type of research used in this research was descriptive with a total sample of 30 people. The elderly at PSTW Gau Mabaji Gowa have a high level of independence in ADL. The ability to independently perform ADLs includes the ability to bathe, dress, eat, go to the toilet and move around.
