Osteoporosis is a systemic skeletal disorder characterized by low bone mass and a decrease in bone tissue microarchitecture resulting in an increased tendency to fracture. Osteoporosis is a condition where bones become brittle or break easily due to changes in bone mass, microarchitecture of bone tissue. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of women aged 45-50 years in efforts to prevent osteoporosis in Borong Village, Tanralili District, Kab. Maros This type of research is research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were women who experienced osteoporosis in the Borong sub-district, Tanralili District, Kab. Maros A total of 36 samples were taken using a total sampling of 36 samples. The data obtained in this research was processed using the Fisher Exact Test statistical test method. The results of this research show that knowledge (58.3%) with a value of ρ = 0.02 < ∝ (0.05), the conclusion of this research is that there is a relationship between knowledge and efforts to prevent osteoporosis in Borong Village, Tanralili District, Kab. Maros. It is hoped that the health officers of Borong Subdistrict, Tanralili District, Kab. Maros to further increase the outreach/socialization activities provided to the elderly regarding the importance of carrying out health checks.
