Abstract

Bullying. Is a situation where there is abuse of power or physical and mental violence carried out by a person or group of people, and in this situation the victim is unable to defend or defend. The desire to hurt is shown in direct action by a person or group that is stronger, irresponsible, repeated and done happily with the aim of making the victim suffer. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to bullying incidents at SMP Negeri 21 Makassar. This type of research is a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all students who were bullies at SMP Negeri 21 Makassar. A total of 35 student samples were taken using a total sampling of 35 samples. The data obtained in this study were processed using the Chi-Square statistical test method, obtained parenting values ​​ρ = 0.03, social environment ρ = 0.01, mass media ρ = 0.00, peers ρ = 0.01 where each variable has a value of ρ <∝ (0.05), the conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between parenting patterns, social environment, mass media, peers with bullying behavior, that teachers are expected to be able to pay attention and guide students to avoid bullying behavior.
