The Description of Early Childhood Social Development in the Use of Gadgets

Abstract

very sensitive period of child development is at the age of 1-5 years as early childhood. During this period, all aspects of intelligence development experience extraordinary development that will affect further development. This study aims to determine the description of early childhood social development in the use of gadgets in Parang Tambung Village, Tamalate District, Makassar City.The sample in this study was early childhood in Parang Tambung District, Makassar, namely a total sampling of 60 people. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire. The variable of early childhood social development in the use of gadgets covers 20 questions. The results of this study show the positive impact of gadget use of 19 (31.7%) while the negative impact of gadget use is 41 (68.3%). Based on the study, it was concluded that gadgets do have a positive impact on children's mindset, namely helping children improve their right brain abilities. But behind these advantages, it can also have a negative impact on children's development, but gadgets become negative if theusinse las disrupted children's social interactions with parents and others
