Pain is a subjective and complex clinical condition that requires accurate assessment and appropriate management. Nurses play a
crucial role in pain management, often dealing with trauma cases. Lack of knowledge and unsupportive attitudes toward pain
management can lead to suboptimal pain management, thereby reducing the quality of care. The purpose of this study was to
determine the relationship between nurses' knowledge and attitudes toward pain management in trauma patients. This study was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional and observational design. The sample consisted of 30 nurses selected using total sampling. Data collection used the KASRP questionnaire instrument. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test. The results of the study found a significant relationship between nurses' knowledge and attitudes toward pain management in trauma patients with a p-value of 0.03. It is recommended that Daya General Hospital in Makassar conduct periodic evaluations of pain management implementation to improve the quality of service.
